Pastoral Care

First Congregational UCC has a lay team that calls on home-bound members and other members in special need of support. These visits are accomplished with the help of Fran Apltauer, Minister of Visitation. 

In addition to home visits, we have a member/nurse who takes blood pressures once per month after Sunday worship, a Lay Minister of Healthy Connections who provides an article for our monthly newsletter on a relevant health issue and a group called “The Tea Ladies” who plan periodic visits to members in need offering “tea and comfort”.

Healing services are held periodically as needed usually after a worship service. Contact the pastor for this service.
